How is an ice bath better than a cold shower?
Ice baths provide an instant feeling of coolness all over your body and ensure that every part of your body is immersed in water. To activate the body's natural healing processes, it is most effective to apply enveloping cold, including over the neck and abdominal region. This consistent cooling, along with the natural compression from the water, is achieved only by total immersion.
Through an ice bath, you can experience a deep and penetrating cold throughout the body and muscles, something that cannot be achieved with a regular cold shower.
Do I need to do the cleaning manually?
No! The Mana 1.0 ice bath has an integrated three-stage filtration system with ozone decontamination technology, particulate filter and 20 micron paper filter, all for your comfort! We recommend changing the micron filter once a month to ensure crystal clear water at all times.
Does the ice bath require maintenance?
The ice bath Mana requires minimal maintenance. It has an easy-to-use drain that connects to a regular garden hose. We recommend that you change the filter once a month and change the water about every 3 months.
Do I need to buy ice or a cooler to keep the water cool?
No! Mana is a fully integrated cold bath and you never have to think about cooling down the water manually. Mana 1.0 makes sure to keep your water ice cold at 3 degrees, 365 days a year.
Can it be used in commercial use?
Yes, there is an option to be able to use Mana 1.0 in commercial use.
What is the optimum temperature for a cold bath?
Ideally, the temperature in an ice bath should be below 15°C. We recommend gradually introducing your body to the cold and allowing it to build up a tolerance over time. If you are new to ice baths, you can start at a temperature close to 15°C and gradually lower it with each session. More experienced ice bathers tend to use temperatures between 4-10°C, as their bodies have adapted better to the cold.
Can Mana be used outdoors during the winter?
Mana 1.0 can be used outdoors during winter as long as there are no freezing temperatures. If the temperature should drop below 0°C, do not use Mana, then the cold bath needs to be drained of water or placed indoors.
Can I use a normal power outlet for Mana 1.0?
Yep. Mana 1.0 only requires a standard 220-240V socket. For optimal performance, we recommend a dedicated 12A circuit without other appliances.
