NovoChair

NovoChair is a treatment chair for non-invasive activation of the pelvic floor muscles. Customers remain seated and fully clothed while electromagnetic stimulation produces repeated muscle contractions. Sessions can complement pelvic floor exercises with a focus on muscle awareness, control and function. Urinary leakage or other symptoms should first be assessed; the chair does not replace medical assessment or individually tailored care.

Electromagnetic pulses stimulate nerves that activate the pelvic floor muscles. Staff select a programme and adjust the intensity on the touchscreen. Customers do not need to perform active pelvic floor contractions during the session. A contraction count should not be translated into an equivalent number of exercises or presented as proof of better outcomes than exercise.

The chair includes programmes for women and men. Programme choice and suitability are assessed individually against the customer’s goals, health and contraindications. A programme name is not a promise that the device can treat a particular diagnosis.

After an introduction, the customer sits in the chair fully clothed. Staff select a programme, start at low intensity and adjust it to the customer’s comfort. A session usually takes approximately 30 minutes, with additional time for the introduction, settings and follow-up.

The treatment may feel like tingling, vibration and rhythmic muscle contractions. Intensity should remain manageable and be adjusted to the individual. Staff should reduce intensity or stop the session if pain or significant discomfort occurs. Temporary muscle fatigue or mild soreness may occur afterwards.

No, sessions take place fully clothed. Follow the instructions for suitable clothing and items that should be removed before treatment.

Session numbers, intervals and follow-up are tailored to the customer and the selected programme. Outcomes and experiences vary. We explain operation and available protocols during setup; a set number of visits does not guarantee results.

Electromagnetic pelvic floor stimulation has been studied in areas including urinary incontinence. Results apply to the methods, devices and protocols investigated and do not by themselves establish a specific effect for NovoChair. We therefore do not use general percentages or promises of a cure. Staff should review the customer’s health declaration and contraindications against the product’s safety documentation before the first session and check for changes on return visits. Implants, pregnancy, previous surgery, new symptoms or other medical uncertainty need attention before sessions are planned. Customers should consult a healthcare professional if suitability is uncertain.

The chair weighs 54 kg and measures 78 × 67 × 78 cm, L × W × H. Allow at least 1 m² of available floor space and clear access for sitting down and standing up. The power supply is 110–240 V via an earthed Schuko socket. Placement and installation are checked before delivery.

Rated apparent power is 2,000 VA. This is different from actual active power in W or measured energy use in kWh. Consumption per session depends on programme, intensity and duration and should be measured for a reliable operating budget.
